Thankful :

God made a home in my heart for Mary while I had a Protestant mind. I was completely appalled at the thought of “worshipping Mary”.  Too funny, terribly confusing.

My walk with God has been a continual story of having the rug ripped from under my feet, FORCING ME TO RELINQUISH THE OLD WINE SKIN, ONLY TO BE GIVEN A BRAND NEW ONE INSTEAD.

Pondering:

Discussions on Blogcatalogue often include questions on prayer, God, the church…  By responding to theses questions  I can verbalize my faith. Answers today:

1. First and foremost, Christianity is a relationship with God. THE RELIGION PART CAME AFTERWARDS.
I converted at 19 to one of the most religious versions of Christianity…Catholicism.  Still for me the format is superfluous and hollow without a living, breathing flow of love, insight and connection to the Holy  Spirit.
THE ONLY people Jesus got angry at were the religious, self-satisfied Pharisees who were all about rules and the law with no connection to God.

Mercy of God:

HE IS ALL POWERFUL AND CAN DO ANYTHING WHEN WE SAY YES.  When I was lead into the Catholic Church, my mind was dead set against Catholics. Everything in me recoiled, as if this religion was tainted, corrupt, sacrilegious.  If His mercy can soften my heart and help me see truth, He can heal anyone.

Praying:

for all people struggling with Mary’s presence. She is the best kept secret..

Moments of gratitude:
I am going to sound like I am stuck on the repeat button but I really appreciate the wood stove’s warm, dry heat when it is -24 C outside!

Beauty in the ordinary:

I am crocheting shawls for my nieces wedding and they are gorgeous :)  Humility is honesty, right?
